install win7 on my new macbook pro

I just got the laptop today. It's a work PC and as such, I need to install win7 for some of the software we used.

When I said install, I meant I'll wipe the disk (or maybe just delete the HFS partition) and then install Windows 7. Is this the correct way of doing it? I thought of boot camp but I really have no use for a dual-boot laptop.

Can someone tell me which hardware didn't work because win7 doesn't come with the driver? Also, where did you get the driver?

Just go through the boot camp process to create the driver CD then book directly from the W7 disc and partition/format the disk from there and install W7. Waste of a MBP IMO.
 
You don't create a driver cd anymore, you launch the assistant to partition the drive (I think that it does additional things to the EFI as well which is why you want to run the assistant even if you are going wipe the drive). The assistant is in the Utilities folder inside the Applications folder.

Put your 7 disk in and using the setup program wipe the drive (I would recommend against wiping the 200MB partition that you will see in there) and install 7. Once 7 is installed, depending on the version you chose, you should have most of your drivers already there, but for the rest, just put the included OS X disk into the machine and it will launch the driver installation.

This is retarded. A MBP has plenty of hard drive space to leave a 15 gig OSX install on there. You can set it so Win7 is the automatic OS it boots into and you have to hold down a key to run OSX. If you're getting rid of OSX you've paid like 2500 dollars for a thin and light notebook with a backlit keyboard.
