Install W2k on SATA

We just received new computers here at work with Windows XP on them... My boss wants me to put Windows 2000 on them but the new computers have SATA hard drives and when I boot into the W2k install it doesnt see the SATA drive. Any suggestions?

To add to n0cmonkey's answer, there should be a floppy disk that came with the PC's with the drivers on, or they may need to be extracted onto a floppy from the motherboard CD.

Seems to have worked great... I did have to go to Dells website and download the SATA drivers and put them on a floppy but that was no problem. Thanks for the help.

Also, make sure you have the proper motherboard chipset drivers. These can be installed after the OS is up and running.

Bozo 😀
