Installed this printer to a switch. I configured the TCP/IP section to the best of my ability in the printer settings. The router sees the printer just fine and I can ping the printer. My problems is installing a driver to actually use it. I tried the Add Printer in winxp and selected that i'm installing the printer that is on a network. I just can find the printer. I browsed for it and tried typing in \\192.168.1.104 to search for it by ip. I tried with a few computers and I made sure any firewall, or internet security functions were off.

I usually install it locally and then create a new TCP/IP port where you can add the IP then load your drivers.

yes, choose local, add new port, TCP/IP

the add printer wizard is confusing for networkd printers, as opposed to print servers.

(tempted to add a linux comment, but I think that would be trolling)
