Install Noob

Well that is just the source (to meet GPL). I suppose you could compile and install it. Installing on embedded things is often easier said than done though, and might require some snazz.

For a complete noob, I'd recommend Mint or Ubuntu. If you don't have much ram, then Puppy or AntiX are pretty friendly.

Sorry if I wasn't all that clear. I was wondering how hard it would be to install it onto one of the western digital boxes.

I ask because I completely removed all the hard drives and wanted to know if I could reinstall that OS with new ones?

I was told by western digital that I have to have one drive installed with the OS on it or else it would not run.

So I wanted to install 2 new drives and put the OS on one and then rebuild the software RAID that it uses.
