Install new MOBO on New Case

Hi, this is my first build, have a new MOBO to go into a new Case, the case has the screws to attach the MOBO, because the case is metal, do I need to isolate it by way of nonconductive washers.
I asked this question as I have seen complaints of people describing their MOBO "fried" after a new install.thanks

With your case you should get a supply of brass/plastic standoffs that screw/snap into holes in the case's motherboard tray. The motherboard is then attached to the standoffs. This raises the board clear of the tray so that the board will not short out. Here's a quick guide I found.

Make sure to only have standoffs at the spots on the motherboard where the screws go through. If you have extra standoffs "standing" at locations that don't line up with the motherboard screw holes, that is when you can have problems.
