So my primary gaming system has a 128GB SSD with the OS and a 1TB HD for the games because game installs are huge. I have told Steam to use a folder on the 1TB drive for all my game installs, and when Steam is in normal mode it ALWAYS installs to that drive by default. But when I run Steam in Big Picture mode (which is 99% of the time because its hooked to my TV) it ALWAYS wants to install newly added games on my small SSD.
Is there a way to force a default Steam folder for all modes including big picture? Failing that is there a way to do a symlink or something to allow Big Picture to do its thing while the game still ends up in the right place?
Taking out a mouse and keyboard everytime I buy a new game is wrecking the experience for me. If the answer is a 1TB SSD that holds everything I am desperate enough to avoid the mouse and keyboard usage to do that, but I want to avoid such a large expense if possible.
Thank you in advance.
