Install chipset drivers from Asus or from AMD?

Motherboard: M5A78L-M/USB3

In the Asus download section I see this:

Code:
AMD Chipset Driver V1.3.2.54 for Windows 32bit/64bit Vista & Win 7.
AMD Chipset Driver V5.10.1000.8 for Windows 32bit/64bit XP.
File Size 81.33 2010/04/09

http://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/M5A78LMUSB3/HelpDesk_Download/

On Amd's website I see this:

Code:
AMD Chipset Drivers 48 MB Omega (14.12) 12/9/2014

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows+8.1+-+64

Which one should I use on a new install of Windows 7 64bit? Should I just go with the dates or are there things in the Asus chipset driver that are specific to the motherboard?

alright, thanks. 🙂

I wonder why the mobo manufacturer keep those drivers and not sync with AMD's.

That's a standard thing for pretty much all hardware manufacturers. They will provide an initial release driver, and some of them will provide sometimes an updated driver, but, over the life of you using that product, at some point (even at release sometimes), it is better to go to the vendor of the chips and get their available driver as it is usually newer/kept up to date.

Just the way it is...
