Install AHCI without Re-installing XP

Built a new rig and installed XP and then discovered you didn't F6 in the the Intel Matrix Storage drivers? Maybe, like me, you thought "not gonna run RAID so why would I install RAID drivers..." Or maybe you didn't have a floppy...

Anyway, now that you're up and running, perhaps you're pining to run your SATA's in AHCI, perhaps to take advantage of an eSata bracket, or simply because Intel's saying it's what you want to do with your new SATA drives...well, here's a solution that works, and does not require re-installing XP:
