Inspiron e1705 graphics card

I've had an e1705 laptop handed to me and it clearly has some fried video memory. The machine has an replaceable graphics card, but it's out of warranty and I'm not sure what the options are for replacement. Has anyone had this problem before? Know of a good source for an (ideally inexpensive) replacement card? Thanks.

same thing happened to me. I'm going to try the cooking method over the weekend. Google it if you want to try it. I don't have an exact link.
