Inspiron E1505 Problem

I'm not familiar with my laptop (Inspiron E1505). I just got it in the mail in early July.

So here's my issure:
I pressed a button on the right side and something popped out. Now that I pulled it out, it came off. When I put it back inside, the buttonnever goes back in again. Is that normal or did I break it?
 
It sounds normal. Looks like you just found the blank cartridge that goes in the ExpressCard slot. The button is the release button.
 
With both the release button, ands the blank cartridge ejected, push the button as far in as you can until it locks in place, then slide the cartridge in and both should lock in together.
