I saw this deal in the front page section of the San Jose Mercury News. I told my boss about it, since he needs a laptop. I thought this was an excellent deal for under 500.00.
Plus this has a 1 year warranty instead of the usual basic 90 day warranty that comes with the lower end laptops. All the features above are not generally on a 500 laptop.
Plus folks, NO REBATES involved.

I picked one up for the Mrs. to tote around the house instead of being stuck to the desktop.

It isn't a speed demon, but has nice extras, like the 1GB RAM and a dual layer DVD burner, nice sized screen. And as esquared mentioned - the extended warranty.

Of course, Dell's website was burping so I wasn't able to get the Fatcash or 2% DPA...had to call it in

First step will be to format the drive and reinstall to clean all the crap off
