Hello. I have an Inspiron 9300 laptop that started messing up recently. When I boot up, the bottom 3/4 or so of the screen are just a series of vertical lines. The top 1/4 is perfectly fine. Everything works normally, it's just that I can't see anything below the top 1/4 of the LCD. When I hook the laptop up to another display ( I hooked it up to a TV) everything works fine, so I'm assuming it's not a video card issue. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue. I'll probably end up taking it apart and seeing if there's a loose connection between the vid card and the lcd screen. But any tips are appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like the hinge is loose so it's not making proper contact. Or the video card is getting flexed when you fold and open it. The hinge thing happened on my HP.
