Inspiron 8600 Wireless

Just a quick question about the wireless built-in to the inspiron 8600. Does it have an antenna built in to the screen? I thought it did, but everytime I put my hands on the keyboard my reception bar goes down. I would think if it had an antenna in the screen it would not affect the reception when I put my hands on the keyboard.

Anyone else notice this?

BTW, I have the Dell Truemobile 1350 Card.

I just bought a similar 8600 during the recent deals. From what i have seen in the manual there is not an antenna in the screen. There are just two small antenna in the bottom of the laptop where the mini-pc card is plugged in at.

Although I just pulled the cover off for the hell of it and the wires do run out of there. So maybe they do just run them up under the keyboard cover?

Anyone else know for sure?

Wow interesting. That would explain why on other laptops I have owned that I know had the antenna in the screen had wonderful(!) almost near perfect reception from what seemed like unbelievable distances.
