Inspiron 660 question

So today while trying to install a video card I noticed a small black wire was not attached. It is the wire that attaches to the front of the case that has the white tag on it in the picture below.

Can anyone tell me what this wire is for? I'm hoping this is non critical like the LED indicator light.

The other issue if this needs to be fixed is I don't know where it needs to go back into on the motherboard. I assume it came out of a plug. It is very hard to tell from the picture where it goes.

Thank you in advance. I couldn't find anything searching on Google.

Where is the non-attached end? It looks like it is going to the power supply.

I think it goes into a wire harness that plugs in right below the memory.

I am at work but I'll get better pictures when I get home.

Wish I could find some documentation on this.

OK, i think I see the direction now. Looks like they go to the card underneath the RAM, but I can't tell what it is in that pic. Does the while cord going to it come out of the front as well?
