Yeah, it's not going to happen. maybe if you could convince someone on the forum to post pictures of the 9300 motherboard connector and the 6000D connector, that would be your best bet to finding out if you could change the card. I unfortunately do not have pictures of what the motherboard connector and i'm very skeptical because the x300 for each has different part numbers in my inventory list.

If you wanted to swap the x300 say 64mb to an x300 128mb one, then yes you could so long as you had a dell x300.
I would assume the 9300 is compatible with all the g/x cards as the 6000 but perhaps not the other way. This would depend on say if the 6000 could handle the power requirements of say a 256 pci-e. The 9300 can.
So it seems all your g/x card upgrade paths are locked into Dell parts.
One day all non integrated g/x cards on all new laptops will be interchangeable just like on desktops....
