Inspiron 6000 lcd

Fixing a very dark Inspiron 6000 lcd. I first purchased a new invertor and switched it. It did not help things. I can hook the laptop up to an external monitor and it works great.

My thinking is that the ccfl needs replaced or the lcd is junk. How hard is it to change the ccfl and what/where would I get one?

this is a guess on my part, but the ccfl tubes might be build into the lcd panel. you might have to replace the whole panel

Figures, panels are too expensive and it's a samsung lcd🙁

if you decide to replace it, make sure you find one that was specifically made for that model. a lot of laptops used to use different proprietary connectors for the lcd panel
