Inspiron 6000/ Latitude D810

I am currently deciding between two Dell laptops and I would like a little bit of advice with regard to battery duration. The Inspiron 6000 looks like a really nice machine? but it lacks one thing that I think is important? the modular bay to insert an additional battery. After a little bit of searching I came across the Latitude D810 which seems to be very similar in configuration but it has the bay for an extra battery!

I guess what I?d like to know is if there?s anyone out there that has experience with the D810 and can give me a little bit of an idea how far a charge will go with the extra slot?

with two new batteries, you could get close to 5 hours, possibly more if you hone your power settings, maybe 6, those are good machines, ive had my hands on say... 100 or so (all for repair purposes, but not because the systems were faulty, these were gold coverage damage repairs, id say 15% of those were actual failures)
