Inspiron 530 Upgrade cpu fan

As the title suggests, I'm wondering if it's possible to upgrade the heatsink/cpu fan on a Dell Inspiron 530. I've been pretty out of touch with the cpu scene but I want to do so because the stock one is incredibly loud. In any event, please advise and if possible, toss out some suggestions. Tia!

Yes. Look for socket 775 compatible coolers. You have a height restriction (case is only 17.0 cm deep) so you're a little limited. For tower coolers look for something like the Thermalright Ultima 90, Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, something like that with a 90mm (as opposed to 120mm) fan. Otherwise most downdraft heatsinks (like the Thermalright SI-128) should fit.

I don't think there's a duct in the side door of that case, but if there is just remove it.
