Inspiron 3800 lcd

Trying to figure out what is wrong with this laptop. If it is booted up, the screen appears to have a white glow to it and nothing shows up. I hooked a monitor up to it and it has a display of a windows desktop and everything looks fine.

I'm guessing either cable or lcd but probably the lcd even though the backlight appears to be working.

lcd's with no data cable plugged in will be white, 99% chance everythign is FINE, jsut the data cable in the back of the lcd is coming out, or has come out, usually if its white, its completely disconnected.

The LCD Flex cable have a tendency to go bad on the Inspirion series.

I unplugged and replugged the data cable and it was the same thing. Maybe I'll have to pick up a new data cable off ebay, thanks guys!
