i'm pretty sure i don't have migraines for I don't get that blurry vision, bright light flashing stuff....and i hear it's genetic..and non of my parents, brother, relatives, grandparents have it...

...just that this started happening since last year on a monthly bases....

right now, i'm get this piercing most insane msot super crazy pain and pressure on the back of my upper neck...my right eye hurts, i can feel my head pulse, the side pressure points hurts, ..but the back of my head......(when u feel ur upper neck, u'll feel two pipe-kinda things that leads up towards the head....the one on the right hurts super bad...) hurts SOO BAD...intense pressure and pain at the right part of my upper neck/lower head ...

i've always wondered...what is this pain?.....i kinda knw what causes it..it happens when i'm stressed, or slouch in front of the computer for prolonged periods of time doing something, or when i'm very very very anxiously worried....

i get it about once a month on avg...and no headache medicine works at all...(well, b4, it would work,...now i just have to take multiple doses of ibuprofen in order to work...doc gave me lots for my swollen ankle a while back, and told me to take 3 times the usual dose to keep the swelling down..so i figured it's probably ok to take multiple doses for this headache :( ..but now i worship it to cope w/ this pain i have right now)..usually sleep works to some extent, but the pain and pressure still partially lingers...and it usually takes the full day to finally recede......and i can't fall asleep right now due to the pain...now i'm posting here :(

to relieve myself, i press down on the back of my head...the protrusion/feels-like-a-pipe-..or tendon..thing really super hard...i press it really really really insanely super hard...

and also press down on my temples...

so yeah, what is this pain?!?!?1... :( :(

Migraine doesn't have to have flashing light stuff, and the blurry vision for me used to be limited to the pain becoming so intense that my eyes started to water, actually becoming blurry or seeing nothing at all happened very rarely. (Walked home from school as small kid once without being able to see anything, sweat streaming down my body)

Basically, it can be a migraine, but I'd advice you to look for slightly more professional medical care than ATOT on that.
