pc and console games, chat, pron...no time for playing in the yard anymore? now when i drive home i never see kids out playing. not like when i was a kid, we played outside till it was dark.
just thinking maybe if they werent on their ass's all day and got a little excercise they wouldnt need diets by the time they are 16

different generations. its not as "safe" to have kids playing outside now. though, i understand where you are coming from. too many kids stay at home doing nothing these days.

I think its more of a politely correct society. Its wrong to make fun of fat people. They have a 'disease'. They can't control it. Just like all that other BS out there. Its people making excuses for them.


Ive played video games my whole life and never had a problem with being overweight, not even close. Oh, and Ive also played out in the yard as much as if not more than anyone else. Video games alone do not contribue to obesity. Being a lazy fvcker does.

I don't think there is one reason for it. I think all of the little things in this and the other thread contribute. I will say this. VIdeo games seem much more immersive now than they were back in the 80's era.

In my world, It does seem like parents are having a hard time now getting their kids away from XBOX. But then again, it could just be my transitioning into old fogyism. I do remember spending several hours rocking some Asteroids on the 2600, but then again I remember even more out playing ball, riding bikes etc.
