I understand your statments, but I think it's wrong to assume that she expects me to pay for her friends and that she's a freeloader. She says all the time that I don't have to, and I actually do think that I should pay for dinner everytime we go out. Be it that I was brought up that way or whatever, I feel as though I should pay for dinner everytime the two of us go out.

You've allowed yourself to be walked all over, it's going to be difficult to undo the damage.

First, next time y'all plan to go out, make sure your GF knows you're not going to pay for her friends. Give her enough time to pass that on to her friends.

Then, when you sit down to dinner, tell the waitress right up front you want separate checks.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I think since it's a pretty rare occasion that we all go out to eat and that I'm not currently in a financial bind, I'll be nice and pay for her/them as well.

most people assume that if they are out with a couple, that one of them is going to pay for both, and the rest of the party is on their own
