I know this has probably been posted a gabillion times.

I know a bit about the whole schoedingers cat experiement, like is the cat really dead etc.. to me it seems obvious that the cat would die. But I probably dont know the logic behind the reasoning for the cat to still be alive. Can someone explain this "experiment" and both sides of the argument to me?

How do you know if that cat dies or not? If you have no way of telling... the cat is both dead and alive until you open it up and look. Once you to, you collapse one of the states (dead/alive), and the cat continues its existance. Simplified explaination... but that's the jist of it.

That's the A theory. The B theory would be that when you open the box a universe forms where the cat is alive and another where the cat is dead.

Many Worlds or Infinate Universes I think is what I've seen it under. I like that theory. Maybe my other universe-self is getting some.
