Heh. Well, people have to understand that game testing is a job that influences the profits of large companies. You DON"T mess with that.

Wow... and I thought that my stint doing software QA testing sucked. I worked about 60 hours a week making around $29,000 a year in the San Francisco area, which means that I was making less than the average Safeway employee per hour once you factored in the overtime. Some of the perks were nice, though... The games were free, you got tons of free t-shirts and game company trinkets, and you often got free lunch and dinner in order to keep you in the building and testing. I only needed about six months of that before I felt properly motivated to finish college!

This job sounds a hell of a lot worse, though... Almost like the equivalent of a Chinese sweatshop.
