Anyone knows how to put Compaq Insight agents or similar agents on a Dell desktop so that it'll be monitored by Insight Manager?
 
FYI

1. Install Compaq System Management driver
2. Install Latest Agent.

You must have the latest SP, but your box will show up only as a generic desktop.

There are ways to play with DMI(sp?), but I think you need to have Insight 7.0


Edit: I just remember why I searched for an Insight thread, We have a server showing 3 failed power supplies in Insight, we've replaced the power supplies, reset the NVRAM, upgraded the agents and they're still showing up as failed! any help?
