Hey guys

I am interested in building my 2nd PC. This time I want it to be a screaming fast dual processor.

Is building a dual machine any more involved than a single?
I am a newbie at this and managed to pull off my first build successfully, but I do not know what I am getting into again with a dual.

What would be the dream configuration I should keep an eye out for?

thanks

The major difference with a dual machine is the motherboard and powersupply. You really are limited in choices there - and the choices are often quite expensive. Everything else should go the same as a single build.

As for keeping your eye out there are two things to wait for. (1) Intel should release the 533 MHz fsb Xeons in the next couple months - I'm not sure on an exact date for that. (2) AMD should release the throughbred based MP in that same time period. I think both would be worth waiting for. I need to replace my dual 1.7 GHz Xeon and I'm waiting for the 2.66 GHz Xeons to arrive.
