This article is pretty long, its 2 parts as well. he goes into details about the functionality of the xbox360 as far as the whole "community" and "entertainment center" of the system. It doesn't focus on games as much, but more of the features of the system, and also about the whole Hi-Def thing.

Heh here is yet another quote of them putting sony down ...

I don't think the 1080p televisions are the limiting factor (you can buy 1080p LCD TVs now), so basically, that quote is just more back-and-forth in this stupid, stupid competition between 2 nonexistent devices.

A lot of people have the 1080p television... it's up to Sony and MS to bring the other 2 to us. It's only science fiction if they (MS and Sony) can't do it.

you really have no clue what you are talking about do you. not even alot of people have HDTV. i don't have a link, but i remember hearing that only 10% of TV owners even have an HDTV.

i don't even think there is a 1080p TV on the market yet. i could be wrong though. but regardless, not nearly "a lot of people have 1080p televisions".

Exactly. For comparison, check out the 1080i games for Xbox.... oh yeah, there's only one. Dragon's Lair... and it's terrible.

Exactly. For comparison, check out the 1080i games for Xbox.... oh yeah, there's only one. Dragon's Lair... and it's terrible.

yah, and there are probably 5 games that run at 720p, and the only one of those worth playing is Soul Calibur 2, and at 720p, that doesn't even run in 16:9 mode.

Actually, I think that Syberia adventure game was 1080i as well.

But yeah, it'll be at the end of the next-gen lifecycle before we are going to see a mass of 1080p sets.

I'm still wondering how Sony is going to pull of the promise of 1080p dual output. There will only be like 1% of 1% of consumers who would do that but that's what they are promising.
