Storyline
'Inside Job' is the first film to provide a comprehensive analysis of the global financial crisis of 2008, which at a cost over $20 trillion, caused millions of people to lose their jobs and homes in the worst recession since the Great Depression, and nearly resulted in a global financial collapse. Through exhaustive research and extensive interviews with key financial insiders, politicians, journalists, and academics, the film traces the rise of a rogue industry which has corrupted politics, regulation, and academia. It was made on location in the United States, Iceland, England, France, Singapore, and China

So you're saying the entire financial Industry supports itself on the notion that it collects and funnels cash into certain sectors, for the purpose of controlling profits in ways that the ave financial consultant sees fit--such that far fewer people maintain this wealth (the only way to truly be wealthy, by definition) at the expense of the greater population who pays the wealth of the few?

:hmm:

Look at the oil markets from 4-5 years ago, look at the gold market now. I saw a news report just the other day that speculated gold would rise as high as $4000/oz. Fuck, better stock up on gold!!! Drive that price up even further!

It didn't cost anybody $20TR in actual wealth. Paper wealth, maybe. Lost opportunity cost? Maybe (that's even dubious because the "gains" were ill-gotten).

Furthermore, to claim that it's the financial markets' sole fault, is laughable. What happened to individual responsibility also?
