Inserted new cpu and win2k will NOT load!!

I previously had a 1133mhz cpu but just switched to a 1400 nhz cpu. Both cpus are Athlon 'c's. When I made the switch I was having no problems with my system. Now I get into the windows startup screen and it never completes the loading process. I managed to get into windows one time and I had to load safe mode and then restart through safe mode. Check your cables. Make sure you didnt loosen something. Otherwise I would reformat / reinstall OS.

also, bump up the voltage slightly if needed.

I ended up bumping my voltage up and in started right up. I haven't rebooted though to see if the problem is fixed time to try it... GULP!!!
