"Insert System Disk into A"

I just got a new hard drive for my gf's machine, popped it in and installed windows xp. I took out the Windows CD, and then restarted after installing some drivers. Now if i restart the machine with out the Windows cd, i get the error "Insert System Disk into A:" If i put the cd back in, it boots fine. How do i get rid of this, anyone know?
