Insant Messaging on iPhone?

I like Meebo's IM interface, but when you browse away from it and switch to mail or something, and then come back, I think it refreshes or stops transferring data.

I don't like that, I want it to be running all the time - any thoughts?

I found a software called apolloIM, but it seems to be for other versions, not 1.1.2 of the iPhone software, and since it's a beta, I don't want to mess around with it right now, but it looks like the perfect solution...

Beta doesn't mean bad. It's a stable release. Give it a go!

Yeah, ApolloIM works well - and it works fine with jailbroken 1.1.2 iPhones. I recommend it as well.

I use MobileChat on my iPhone, I find it to be much more stable than Apollo was for me.

not sure when it's coming out, or how good it will be. But, Trillian is working on an iPhone client, if it's anything like the PC one it's going to rock!

They do have an iphone client. You can find out more information on it at www.trillianastra.com. It's not necessarily a client though, more like a web interface for chatting. It's a direct website you log into and go from there.

You will have to be part of the testing program however to use it, as it's not officially released(not even Beta yet).
