If this isnt a sign AMD is in deep trouble i dont know what is.
In the local best buy flier for Today their are two systems for sale on the same page:
System 1 specs:
1.53 Athlon XP
512 Meg DDR
DVD-CDRW
64 Meg Nvidia graphics
80 gig hd
System 2 specs:
1.8 P4
512 megs SDRAM
DVD-CDRW
32 meg Nvidia graphics

Both also come with a 17 inch monitor and the amd setup comes with a Canon IJ-650 printer, the P4 with a Canon S-600.
Price: System 1 = 1449, System 2 = 1899.
We all know which system is faster, as well as probably cost the maker less to build than the P4. Unless AMD's new PR ratings are enforced, this price disparrence is going to continualy eat into AMD's asp. Which will in turn, drive them out of business.

So what? I don't see this as a sign of anything. You didn't even bother to list the complete systems and who they were made by.

What are you talking about? AMD rules, always will. Besides, your posted specs clearly show that the AMD system is not only
better, but cheaper. You're only comparing proc Mhz speeds?
