how is this more impossible than winning the lottery? why is it so impossible? I mean they give you hints so that you can arrive at a number. This is 1 person after how many shows... guessing at 5 digits.

No but I saw the one today where the guy bid the EXACT CORRECT AMOUNT and won BOTH showcases. So, I win.

There's no way. It was probably within 250 and they just changed it for effect. But no fucking way.

They don't do anything for effect on the show IMO. Everything is played by the book. Everyone wants a cancer survivor to win the car, but sometimes they don't.

The lackluster way he revealed the actual price is because of his suspicions. Poorly written though (reveal should have an adjective of some kind)

That's exactly what I thought. Drew was very suspicious I think and that's what was with the lackluster reveal.

because contestants rarely guess to the last digit in show case showdown.

$26,000 - 40% = $15,600

2 cars, what's that, $40k?
car 1 = $23,000 - 40% = $9,200 owed
car 2 = $17,000 - 40% = $6,800 owed

1 week vacation in chicago = $2500?
$2,500 - 40% = $1000 owed

if he sells the second car, he walks away with the first car, chicago and $10k.

it's not uncommon for "winners" to lose money on game shows. tpir and wheel of fortune were the worst, with big "winners" going bankrupt over shitty catamarans and porcelain dalmations.

I don't regularly watch the show but is that 40% a portion they have to pay of the winnings???
