INS, Green card, and my driving license.

March in to your local INS office in person and ask for assistance.

Ugg...have you ever tried to march into a local INS office and get anything done? Never works in the ones I have been in.

Why don't you have a greencard because of the renewal? I started my I-175 (I think) and I made sure to do it months in advance so I wouldn't end up without some sort of proof.

Do you have a letter stating that ur green card is getting renewed? I went to get my license while I had mine getting renewed, and I just showed my old job permit, and a letter from the INS stating that it was getting renewed.
Also, dont take any copies, you gotta give them the original letter... had to make like two trips back home just to get the damn letter :|

I got one question. Renewing your green card? My green card was issued in 1996 and its expiration date was 2006. Why didn't you just apply for citizenship?
