Inquiring about SiS 745 Benches - Owners Post Here

I would appreciate it if anyone who recently purchased a SiS 745 board (such as the ECS K7S6A from newegg) could post their benches, especially Sandra memory benches. It would be very informative for the rest of us.

Thanks,
JJ

I'm going to assume they are very close to the scores that SiS735 boards were getting. They should be on the same level or slightly above that. Also, doesn't this chipset support DDR333?

Yes, it supports DDR 333, but SiS also advertised it as having an 'improved' memory controller, which could lead people to conclude that the 745 has also been optimizied ala KT266 -> KT266A, although probably not to that level.

Yes, it supports DDR 333. What I've heard, however, is that that will make almost no difference in mem speed, since DDR 266 just about maxs out the bus anyway. I, too, would like to see some benches, though. 🙂

Like my previous post says (big disappointment compare to KT266a)

1.2 Ghz Duron morgan (133X9) / 512MB Crucial MT-chip PC2100 DDR/ 32MB Mod Quadro2 PRO/
Windows XP Coporate edition/ 1024X768X16 (LCD only support 16Bit)/ Sandra 2002

Memory: 1734/1609
CPU: 3318/1662
MultiMedia: 6592/7637
3DMark2001: 4426

Thanks TimeKeeper! Can you please post the Sandra ALU/FPU benches, since they are in MB/s and allow for good comparison.

Thanks,
JJ

Sorry for the confusion...I am referring to the memory benchmarks, which if memory serves me correct, should be around 800 MB/s ALU for the KT266A, so the 745 should do comparably. The numbers you are referring to are cpu benches, not memory system benches.

Thanks,
JJ
