Microsoft is getting like that overly attached ex girlfriend who keeps texting you after you dump her. Sooner or later I'm going to have to file a restraining order against them. 😀

Fortunately, it's pretty easy to get rid of. Just uninstall and hide the KB3035583 patch in Windows Update. That removes GWX.exe permanently from your system. You should them be able to delete $Windows.~BT without disrupting anything. It's in the root directory of the C drive IIRC.
