Hey guys, so me and a friend are building a new computer when we get back to school. We have a $600 budget to work with. The only use of this computer will be gaming and Blu-Ray watching. Resolution is 1920x1080. Budget is set, so no save $50 for better video card or whatever. I guess the purpose of this thread is to make sure I'm not accidentally passing over any awesome components I should be using. Ordering after the weekend probably.

CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 425 Rana 2.7GHz

Ok. I that's it, already got an OS, monitor, mouse, etc. I just want to make sure I'm getting the best CPU, GPU, RAM, etc for the money, we are going to try to unlock the 4th core, but he probably won't OC it right now anyway. Any suggestions anywhere are welcome.

Seems like a solid build to me. Maybe a larger and faster HDD for $7 more? But otherwise, with that budget and all those components, that's probably as good as it'll get. Enjoy your build!
