input not supported with LCD display, help!

I have been using a LCD monitor for a few weeks using the analog connection. I just got a new video card w/ DVI so I connected the LCD to the DVI connection. Now I always get "input not supported" when windows is not running, ie. in safe mode, while windows is booting, if I go into the CMOS setup etc. This is very annoying. I made sure that the monitor setup is using the DVI connection. I am new to LCD w/ DVI connection, is this normal?

What vid card and monitor are you using.I only had an analog cord when I got my lcd,but when I got a cable for it ,it worked fine. Can't say I've heard of this problem.Hope you get it sorted out.

I have an Radeon 9600XT video card and a Rosewill R912E monitor. I wonder if i need to connect both the DVI and analog connections to the video card? Anyone ever had both connection to one monitor?

I have a bfg 6800gt and a samsung 913T.I currently have both cables plugged in but it will only allow dvi in this situation. If I want analog I have to remove the dvi cable.Do you still have both plugged in? This might be the problem.Mine has a button to switch back and forth but dvi always overrides analog.Hopefully someone has dealt with this and can offer better insight.I wish I could be more help.

Maybe google your monitor and see if others are having the same problem.Good luck
