Input Not Supported During Install

I'm getting an "Input Not Supported" during install on both Ubuntu Desktop 13.10 and Linux Mint 15. This is on a Core 2 Duo machine with an old Voodoo3 3000 PCI video card and an LCD monitor using the VGA port. It looks like the install is using a video mode that the monitor can't display. How do I tell the install to use a different resolution and refresh rate? Thanks.

When you boot the cd, press esc at the splash, select your keyboard, then F6 to get other options. Pick nomodeset from the options, and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply. I tried setting nomodeset, but my monitor is still going to the "Input Not Supported" mode. Anything else I could try?

Wait after I posted this I did a Ctrl-Alt-F1 to switch to the command line and then a Ctrl-Alt-F7 and now I see the graphical install screen. Seems to be working. Thanks.
