I have InoculateIT 4.53 installed on Windows NT40 workstations which are connected to a Novell 4.11/5.11 network. I have downloaded the latest signature files into a folder on a network drive. I'd like to schedule each workstation to grab the file I've downloaded by going out to that network drive and update is signature files.

Each workstation cannot go to the website because they all don't have FTP rights through the firewall. So manually downloading it to a network drive folder seems to be a good way to do this for now.

Can anyone help with this?

When I go to AutoDownload Manager in InoculateIT and put in the network path, I get a "Failed to start the service" message. I've tried putting \\ in front of the server name, also # in front of the server name... and included the whole path:

SERVERNAME\SYS\PROGRAMS\INSTALLS\AVSIGNATURES\WINNT\il0084i.exe
(il0084i.exe being the signature file installer which is downloaded from CA website)..

Just a thought--what if you used a mapped drive instead of the UNC path?
