Innovative air cooling cases like FT02?

Just wondering what is out there now. While I like my 650D, it uses pretty much the same air cooling method we've seen for the last 10 years.

The FT02 uses a pretty interesting method, a bottom to top air wall, more or less. Are there any other cases like this out there, that have extremely good or innovative air cooling methods?
 
The FT02's little brother, the FT03, is interesting. I don't like the layout inside though, it seems inefficient (the HDD bays should be vertical, fans should be perfectly horizontal, ditch the extra height past the I/O ports so I can fit a big rad internally, etc.). I had though about it for awhile but it needs a revision before I would try a new build in it.

They came out with a FT03 mini... I suppose you could call that a revision?

You're completely right, I forgot about. :awe: I remember taking a look at it and trying to figure out how to repurpose/move the buttons on the top so I could squeeze a nice square rad in there. Hmmm... maybe I'll look in to that again.
 
Not really no. Theres silverstones RV02/RV03 cases but you probably already knew about them. Its a shame there arent any more bottom to top cooling cases because FT02 is a really good design.
 
Those are some very interesting designs. The skeleton might be a bench case, and the CS-70 looks like a FT03 without the fans...

EDIT: The CS-70 is a FT03... it's OEM by Silverstone
 
Maybe we need to wait for the FT04 and see what that brings onto the table.

edit - tbh, I wish silverstone just updated their old FT02 with better cable management (space at the back with cable tie mounts), better hard drive cage or location, dust filters located underneath the case instead of it being inside for easier access and slightly extended for big mobos than the standard ATX ones? Would be a killer case imo for air cooling at least.

Lian Li tried something new by moving the hdd's out of the way with the PC-90: http://www.anandtech.com/show/5556/lian-lis-pc90-the-hammer-strikes-hard. It did have good cooling but maintenance wise it's not very convenient.

Then they reversed the motherboard (for no real reason I can tell) with the PC-100: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/4591/lian_li_pc_100_the_hammer_mid_tower_chassis_review/index1.html

Both models were removed from the lineup after a short time so I guess they weren't really hot sellers.

Maybe the way we've been doing it for 10 years isn't so bad after all.
