Now here's a damn good price on this video card. I have the Inno3d GeForce2 GTS 64MB, and it rocks the house. Inno3d cards are usually cheaper since they don't bundle a bunch of crap with the card.

Ultra's are way too over priced, although this may actually be a lot cheaper than the rest.

Have to agree. Not to crap on the deal -- I'm sure this IS the lowest price on an ultra -- but with my Geforce2 GTS Pro I'm playing every game out there smoothly at high color in 1024x768... what the hell is $395 really going to get me?

$400 is still way too insane for a videocard. But if you really want it, it's a good deal.

re: $400 way too much...

Well, I certainly remember spending $300 on my Creative Blaster Voodoo2 12mb card a few years back. Given the performance difference, I'd say it was a steal :)

heheh..looking back I have to say me and my bud's were pretty crazy to drop that kind of cash down on a video card, but that was our first real 3D accelerator, and it served us well.

I think the point is that this isn't 12 years ago. You can get a card now for 1/2 the price that will give you top performance in all the current games. Sure, things will come out in the future that will need something like the Ultra, but by then, the Ultra won't cost $400.

yeah, $400 is too much for the general public, even game enthusists.... as a lot of them are college students that have to pay for books... grr.. i hate the begining of a new semester (well.. still a few weeks away).

Well, I am not a student. But still, I don't know where in hell I would spend $400 - 500 just on a videocard.

You have to put $100,000 in a CD for a month to make that kind of money after paying income tax for it.:)
