Does anyone know if the Inno3d gf2pro 5ns is any good? Also whats the deal with the leadtek gf2 pro with 5.5ns? is it as fast as the Inno3d or much slower? Also should I consider Radeon 64DDR?
I am mainly looking for a high performance gaming GFX card in the $180 range.

honesly, anymore i have to say its either a visontek geforce3 or a radeon le for the advrage user. so if you dont want to spend about $350, just go get the $80 one. the 64mb radeon is ok, but you unless you realy need the extra video ram and the vivo, its realy a waste of cash. granted the geforce2 pro is faster than the radeon, but not worth the price diffrance as far as im concened espesialy one of the ones with poor 2d. the geforce3 on the otherhand sold me when i saw cs at 1024x768 with all the aa and antistropy turned up and the 2d is just fine on the visontek anyway. granted this is all coming from a guy that still hasnt replaced his v5, but im not going to try to talk you into one of those.

Yeah but shelling out $360 for a GF3 compared to gf2pro64 for $165 is alot of money which is only about 10-15% slower and has slightly less good 2D. Thats $200 for 10% performance increase. Sorry but I do not have that kind of money, but thanks for advice though.

true, like i said 350 is a lot to spend on a graphics card, and thats why i say geforce3 or raideon le. while it is true that the geforce2 pros do preform close to the geforce3, the radeon isnt that much slower either. howerver the numbers you were quoteing eirler were straight up preformance and rember that the geforce3 as the new memory arcitecture that alows for a much smaller preformace hit with fsaa and antistropy. so for top self stuff you have the geforce3 right now, for a great graphix card at a great price you have the le. if besided playing games and basic windows stuff you plan on doing 3dmax or something in profesional opengl and dont want to spend over 180 then you would beter of be geting a geforce2. however sense you just seem to be looking for a gameing card i recomend the radeon, howerer i cant justify spending the extra on the 64mb vivo when the le is at such a good price. you can get maybe 1280x1024 on a geforce2 pro where you get 1024x768 on a radeon le and they will run about the same but the geforce2 will probably not be quite as colorfull. if 1280x1024 and prfesinal opengl realy maters to you over a little image richness and 2d by all means go for the geforce2 pro then for twice the cash.

If you're going to go the Pro route get the Inno3d.

The LeadTek's memory is 366 base while the Inno will be at 400. Memory bandwidth is the bottleneck for most 3d cards right now (except maybe the Kyro chip).

You'll get better out of the box performance and not have to OC to get to "True" pro levels. You'd probably get it to at least 400, but the 5ns of the Inno will give higher max potential.

I remember when the LeadTek first came out it was marketed as an "Enhanced GTS" not Pro. I guess that didn't sell as well. I call it the castrated Pro.

I think it really sucks that Leadtek markets this as a geoforce 2 PRO card when it is not. It is a geoforce GTS with 5.5ns mem on it, giving it a little more boost compared to the normal GTS.

Were are you getting the 5ns inno3d pro? I asked bunta about the inno3d one they're selling, and they said its only 5.5ns ram. I guess inno3d makes both a 5.5 and 5ns model.

Yeah I was going to buy from ocie.com, but their resellerrattings rating is pretty bad.
