Ink Jet Cartridge Storage??

I have an Epson WF-7520 printer. I found a deal on NEW Epson ink jet cartridges for basically buy one get one free. A set of cartridges lasts me about 12 to 15 months. My question is:

Is storing the extra NEW set of cartridges in the refrigerator at 40 degrees F the correct place? Each ink cartridge is still in its factory vacuum plastic seal. My computer room is almost always at 72-74 degrees F. Would it be better to just store the extra cartridges in the cabinet below the printer?

Sealed ones? They can just sit on a shelf, you probably don't need to refrigerate them. They'll last a long while.

I use plastic bags on opened cartridges. They take months or years to dry out instead of weeks.

Don't kid yourself. I have to throw away my HP 895CXI as even new old stock carts were dry. Store them in fridge up to 2 yrs. Once open, you would need a vacuum sealer to store them long term.

Factory fresh HP carts have tape over the print head, and then are sealed in a foil bag. Then placed in a carton. I have stored them for years. I put in new black (96) and color (97) about once a year. Never had a problem, always store them on a bookshelf.

Yes, do store them in the cabinet below the printer... assuming the cabinet is not in direct sunlight. Yes, after many lessons learned, I too put opened cartridges in a Ziploc... that same Ziploc also contains another Ziploc with my new cartridges, but that's just out of convenience no theory or lesson... pure laziness.
