cool, I like the bundle they show in the last picture with the Logitech driving force wheel.

I've been playing the game in the arcade, its really kickass. I really wish more places had it, but still, its a TON of fun :D

Is this game even out in japan for the ps2 yet? I've been looking to import it or buy it on egay. Release date says March 28, but I can't find any place to buy it.

Admittedly I've never seen the anime, but I've heard about it. Isn't that a Toyota AE86 (rwd Corolla) that you are referring to? If so, you're a clod, because the AE86 is an awesome car.

Or Canada... Campus Cove has some set up at a couple places.

That game sux0rs though. The collision physics utterly blow ... and what gets me is - where did the money go? Sure didn't go into plotline:

Ricer1: "Hahah! My car is faster!"
Ricer2: "No! Mine is! Let's race!"
*vroom vroom screech smash zoom zoom*
Ricer1: "Ha! I am better!"
Ricer2: "I have ashamed my family. I will go in the corner and take my own life."
Ricer3: "Ha! I will succeed where he failed!"
Ricer1: "No you will not!"

Graphics. I'm sorry, but first-generation Dreamcast just doesn't cut it any more. The car models are nice, but that's the extent. Same road texture, same lame "pedestrians" and "trees".

Sound? Oh god, don't get me started on that Japopop cock-rock. It's bad enough when you're playing it, but when you have to hear it when enjoying a good game of GGXX ... I just want to punch through the grilles and rip the speakers out of that game.

Ooh, car upgrades? Wow, I don't even need to spend $5000 to be a lame ricer anymore! Oh wait, I do, because you need to pay to continue even if you win the race! And double that to start! And to buy the card! What a bargain!

Yeah, sorry for ranting in your thread. I had to get it out though ... I played the hell out of it on a "free night" and so many games were lost because of a "bump the rear of the car = teleport ahead". I wasn't the only one screaming profanity and punching the cabinet. :| Way to go dev team on that one.

But they dont call it a Corolla or even close mentioning its a Toyota in "Stage 2". It gets even more hilarous in stage 2, somehow his low budget, gas station job beats guy with money.

But then I could have gotten a poor translation, silly chinatown.

Yeah, though its V1 of the game. V2 is out in Japan and fixes alot of what M4H complains about.

I've seen the entire anime and its ok in its own regard. While I think drifting is pretty stupid, the game makes it fun.

They have V2 in some places in the US too. :p

I think there is one in Orange County if I remember right.

Love the game, the music.. the Japanese release of it for the PS2 I want to buy, but then I'd have to mod my PS2 to play it.. :(

As for pic 1.. I have the wheel already.. now I need some kind of seating thing like that.. :p Also got a 32" Wega at home too..
