Ingrown toenails got you down?

This came up in an ad while I was browsing facebook. What the hell?? I thought it was joke. Nope. Only thing I can think of is that I viewed a reddit backpacking discussion a few days ago where someone was talking about carrying nail clippers, and then I went and found a Swiss Army Knife on Amazon that includes a pair. But this thing is just medieval.

sometimes i wonder what kind of ads i should be seeing. but then i browse on my phone without an adblocker and think 'this is unusable'
I use the ad blockers everywhere except facebook, because the stuff that's been suggested has actually been kind of entertaining.

Occasionally I browse news sites in incognito mode when videos won't play and I don't feel like fiddling with Ghostery, and can't believe how slow pages load with all the ads and trackers and everything else.

If I ever get poisoned with organic mercury, that's the tool I'm gonna use to get it out

I used to have chronic in grown toe nails. The solution if chronic, go to a podiatrist and have them burn the root! You nail will be like 1/8" narrower but it makes all the difference in the world! I fixed my feet 15 years ago and have not had issues since.

Kinda wish I had something like that when I used to dig my own nail out and cut it off. I went to a podiatrist and the problem was solved. He killed the nail bed where it grew out of. That's the logical choice. I suffered with that crap for so long when I was a kid.

I had to fake a similar device (mostly with a knife) to get a truly heinous ingrown nail out one time. No kidding, should have seen a doctor, but I was a <25yo male, so invincible. Areas of skin were going black and smelling funny, it was not super cool.

Anyhow yeah, dug at it with a knife, lotsa blood, probably risked sepsis, but I got it out above the skin and it healed over time. I can vouch for this medieval instrument. Hooks under sides of nail, press down on center, pull up on edges.

or . . . or . . . you could get a pedicure. just saying
pedi wont do whit for some people who have this as a chronic issue

the toenails on my big toes literally make a right angle at the outside and looks like a fing C clamp from the end on. only way to prevent ingrown is to religiously be on top of trimming them short of have it medically fixed
