Get dressed up in a gorilla costume, get a jack o lantern and put the ring in it, wait till nighttime.... jump out and scare her to death!!!!

While she's shaking from the scare, holding the pumpkin, present said ring on one knee or the other. She's pwnes!!1

3 weeks ago my friend Mike was also looking for an ingenious proposal idea, but the power of 3 combined male brains couldn't think up anything clever.

So it was a Saturday morning and Mike and his gf get up (she has to get to work) but when she wakes she finds a printout of a map + directions on how to get to Green Lakes (Mike wanted to propose to her while on a picnic/trail hike). She asks Mike what was it for, but it was suppose to be a surprise picnic outing so that plan was killed. The gf was very persistant and breaks down because Mike won't tell her and she's hurt that he won't tell her the truth. Mike starts to laugh due to the irony of the situation but she doesn't think it too funny and begins to cry and doesn't pay attention to Mike.
Mike pokes at her and tells her this is something she's gotta see, and boom, 1 knee marriage proposal.
Weird start, but happy ending if you ask me.

Get her piping mad, then propose

OMG that is friggin sad. I hope your friend is ready for a lifetime of living with an emotional, insecure woman. Eek.

My cousin did this one that I never heard of:

He proposed as they were getting their pictures taken. He went to a professional photographer and set it up with him saying he was going to propose sometime during the photo session and the photographer was to keep going with taking photos. It was a nice romantic setting and they now have pictures of him popping the question, her accepting, and crying, etc. ... who has pictures of the whole before and after of the proposal? Excellent idea!

That's awesome. :)

Yeah, that is a great idea! Make sure the pics are taken in a park, or some nice setting. Makes me wish I could propose again.

I got a nice plate that said "Will you marry me" on it, and took my GF (now wife) to a nice restraunt. I dropped the plate off earlier, and they agreed to server her dinner on it. That was a hard meal to eat, because I didn't want to miss the reaction, but after what seemed like hours she finally got to it, and said yes.

That's so corny that it's cool.

if your gf does laundry for you, leave the ring in one of your pockets, and be around when she'd find it and then propose

Unless you asked every person who has ever been married how they proposed, it is impossible to claim originality.

Firework board that spells out the marriage proposal, and if that fails have a cow with "Will U Marry Me?" painted on its side on standing by just in case.

I'm not romantic. My wife was watching TV and I brought her up to my bedroom balcony then just got down on my knee and asked. I'm boring. :(
