Current Condition and Forecast

The roads are terrible with accidents everywhere, and I have to go to work at 11PM.

To top it all off, most of the contracts to do winter maintenance on the roads expired March 31. :|

crappy...what kind of work do you do going in at 11pm?

I have to finish some software upgrades for some Cisco Catalyst 5500's. Because the switch needs to be rebooted after upgrading the supervisory module, I only have a window between 12-6AM. 🙁

It's easy work, but can get pretty tedious sometimes.

Freezing rain rules.

Although, I'm in spring mode.. so we don't need any of that. It wouldn't be good for all the plants that have started growing. 😛

Send some of that cold down to the Mid Atlantic please!

It's 70F outside and we now have two chillers plus all ancillary cooling running which I usually don't request until May.

Last weekend was "Indian Winter", this weekend is going to be Iraqi Summer. Damnable weather. :|

Cheers!

I had about a quarter inch of ice on my windshield after school today. It was fun scraping that off. Stupid weather.
😀

We had a massive ice storm here in Oregon quite a few years back, the columbia river gorge got hit hard.. I remember seeing people beating the ice off their windshields with a hammer. 🙂

Well, at least one guy was doing it. Can't say I would do the same.. 😛 That's an accident waiting to happen.

It was about an inch thick.

It's still coming down, and I have to leave to go home in an hour. *sigh*

It took me 2.5 hours to get to work today because they aren't plowing or salting most of the roads. :|
