Was hoping for a bigger jump than that. Oh well. Might bite the bullet now and go through the whole application process with Emigrant.

ING is very slow to raise rates, I have now pulled all of my funds from ING as my emigrant account is now open (takes 1-2 weeks)

Wow glad I stumbled upon this thread, I've been looking at starting a high interest savings account, I know that ING seems to be teh quicker solution when it come to available money but Emigrant has the higher interest rate of %6 right? could anybody offer me some advice from experience? why do some people keep some savings in ING and some in Emigrant what is the point of that?

HSBC is also at 4% APY. I got in on the 35.00 extra for signing up last month.

When I heard about 4% at ED, I decided to transfer my money there from ING. Signed up with ED, verified depostis and ... nothing!
Two weeks - and I still haven't received their stupid letter with activation instructions.

Hey could I please get a referral? And after I get it what are the steps to getting the money into an ing account, simply transfer it from checking?

Also, what is the update for the rates for ing, emigrant, etc.?

They are REALLY slow to get the account open BUT once its open transfering money back and forth from your linked account is much faster then ING. I transfered mony from Emigrant and had it in my linked account the next day. On the contrary when I transfered money from ING it took about a week to get the money.
