Is ING Direct still offering that referral bonus Or account bonus? I heard that there was a $50 sign up bonus... and sometimes a $25 referral bonus.

Can anyone give me more information on this?

$50 bonus was a while ago, using a special TurboTax link. I believe this is now dead.

$25 referral if an existing customer refers you, you deposit $1 and receive a free $25 bonus.

Nope I found a link in Fatwallet forums that the $50 bonus is still going. I signed up with that and the $50 bonus was put in my account today. Thanks for all the referral offers though

Got a link to the link? Searched but didn't see it myself.

DOH! I just took a $25 bonus last week. I should have researched it more and found the $50...

I'm complaining about free money. What's up with that?

From what I recall of the process (signed up with the offer from ages ago), it took a few days to get the account set up even after signing up (establishing the correct routing number, confirming the deposits, etc). The bonus doesn't show until those steps are accomplished. Curious as to how that occured in less than a day for you. Do not doubt that it did, just merely curious.

Also, wanted to add a caveat emptor concerning the possibility of the bonus disappearing during the hold period (they hold the bonus for 30 days, or did during the last promotion). Recall something along the lines of some of the Money 2004 bonus signees being asked for proof of purchase (a serial number, I believe) afterward that was not asked during the initial information period. Failure to provide any documentation lead to the $50 bonus being removed. Not stating this would happen, but had heard it certainly could.

Regardless, good luck with your new ING account. So very sad that our economy is such that 2.x% APR is a good investment.

I found it on this thread
Fatwallet

I haven't confirmed anything with the account partly because my bank hasn't gotten any deposits from ING yet. But the account shows
